Introduction

Documented test cases will save your day when you end up with an issue due to the operations in your implementation.

Narrowing Down Issues

  1. Check the DB and narrow it down with the expected test cases. If the test case was covered then it's a code level issue.Else it has to be implemented for that particular test case.Once this part is done the rest is narrowing down the piece of code you have to change or add.
  2. In a micro-service based environment it starts with narrowing down the service, the module and the code that is causing the issue.

Thought Processes

The second step requires a different thought process and the first step requires a different thought process.

If we have clear documentation for all the test cases for a feature documented, we only have to spend half the time and thinking that is required.
